Eye cream full of Goodness

My favourite eye cream 😍 Made with witch hazel extract and chia seed oil, coconut and avocado oil, so light and non-greasy. 

I apply it day and night after my normal skin care routine. The texture is so light that it doesn't give me any crease after I apply my makeup.  I love Goodness products because they are all cruelty free and made of chia seed oil which is so nourishing and keeps my skin hydrated at all time. Also, their products are all made in New Zealand :)  

The best natural toner:: A'kin Hydrating Mist Toner

I've been using natural mist toner for quite some time now, and recently fell in love with A'kin Hydrating mist toner.   To give you some background about this brand, A'kin is an Australian natural skincare brand, all of their products are ingredient-rich, vegan and 100% natural botanical aromatherapy and formulated without animal ingredients or animal testing. 

By using natural skincare products you are avoiding heavy ingredients that may do harm to your skin, such as block and irritate pores leading to increased acne and rough skin.  

The main ingredients in this hydrating mist toner are organic coconut water, green tea and chamomile. Coconut water is full of vitamins and nutrients, green tea helps to tone and chamomile is known to calm and soothe tired and stressed, which is something I definitely need as I suffer from sleep deprivation.  Also, if you suffer from redness on your face you can give this toner a try, otherwise I find it quite hydrating for myself and I have normal to dry skin. 

Moreover, this toner is free from:

• parabens
• mineral oils
• silicones
• sulfates
• synthetic fragrances
• artificial colours
• propylene glycol
• phthalates

I really like this product because it's natural, vegan and does not contain alcohol. The scent is also very calming, it sure does refreshes my skin every morning when I use it.   One more thing I like is the pump of this toner, it disperses very fine mist, trust me, I've came across some pumps that only sprays in one direction, but this one is different, it spreads evenly on my face. I think it's very important to use a natural toner because this is the first layer of skincare product that touches your skin.  So, I highly recommend going natural and once again I love this mist toner!

5 Must have items for a 3 min casual makeup!

Ever since being a mom, it had made me realise how crucial time is, I would be lucky enough to just have 5 minutes of myself time in the morning (without being interrupted) to do a quick makeup!

I used to do full makeup everyday, by full I mean I would apply foundation, contouring, occasionally false lashes, etc, but after being a mom, how much time do we really have? I know being a mom is busy enough but we shouldn't forget the joy of makeup and keeping ourselves pretty.

Here  are 5 items that I use everyday for a quick and causal makeup.

1. Naturaglace Makeup base
The makeup base helps brighten my skin, I don't have much marks on face so I'm ok with just a base and since its a casual makeup, I'd like to keep things light, but if you are looking for something a bit more you can go for a CC cream which helps even out the skin tone and gives you some coverage. Naturaglace makeup base is organic and is SPF 30 plus PA+++.

2. Visee eyebrow pencil
This eyebrow pencil itself is flat, so you can easily draw the eyebrow shape you want.

3. Etude House Play101 eyeliner pencil
I cannot live without an eyeliner pencil! It makes your eyes not only bigger but gives your eyes power!  Sometimes I use brown, sometimes black, depends how strong I want the eyes to be and this Play101 is very smooth and doesn't smudge, takes less than 1 minute to draw an eye line.

4. 3CE blush
I like to wear a very light layer of pink blush just to give me some color on my face, so this is optional if you prefer to put less things on your face! 3CE products are quite pigmented and a little goes a long way.

5. Karen Murrell Lipstick
Ever felt like you are wearing makeup and still looking pale? With this kind of light makeup, I would just lightly use my fingers to dab the colours on my lips and it will look very natural even if it's a bright red one! KM lipsticks are known to be edible and long lasting, so you only need to apply one thin layer and you don't have to worry about reapplying it throughout the day.

This is one of my simple makeup look that I wear almost everyday when I'm out and about running a few errands and don't want to go without makeup AND have limited time.

My Organic Makeup Routine

Before I was pregnant I always heard things like “you can’t wear makeup during pregnancy because it’s not good for the baby to consume the chemicals etc”. It was a relief that I consulted with the doctor and he said it’s practically safe to wear makeup during pregnancy, however there are some ingredients that should be avoided and perhaps it is better to wear organic products. So, after some research I found this organic brand Naturaglace from Japan and slowly I’d started to go organic, starting with makeup.

Naturaglace is made of 100% natural and organic ingredients. Their products do not contain synthetic surfactant, synthetic polymers, silicon, tar colorant, synthetic preservatives, synthetic fragrances or mineral oils (harsh chemicals free). 
Below are the 4 organic cosmetic products that I use almost daily:

<Makeup Cream SPF30 PA ++>

This is an all in one base that helps adjust colour unevenness, it is made up of three different pearl powders that helps cover bumps and pores in the skin. Once blended, it gives you an instant glow. This cream is SPF30 PA++ so you don't have to worry about applying another layer of sunscreen.

<Pure BB Cream SPF34 PA ++>

This is a moisturising BB cream as it speaks for it's name! It has a non-sticky texture that covers dullness and visible pores.  Comes in two shades - NB0 and NB1.

I purchased the darker shade NB1 for my skin tone. Usually I apply it with a brush and blend, the texture is a little thick but a little goes a long way and it finishes with a radiant look. The coverage is medium and also able to cover the redness around my nose.

<Cheek Colour Cream>

 

Available in 3 shades PK, AP, CO. The shade I got is CO for Coral. I really like the creamy texture, it's easy to blend and buildable and gives a natural look.

<Rouge Drop Lipstick>

Lastly, this Rouge Drop lipstick uses organic ingredients and has a sheer texture and glides on smoothly which is also quite moisturising.  Though it has a limited colour range, the colour I picked RD01 is suitable for day and night, it gives you a natural red as the red has a sense of transparency and I think this colour was perfect for me for normal daily use.

To conclude, I’m very impressed with these organic makeup products and love their natural ingredients, it makes me feel safe using these products during pregnancy knowing that I'm not passing any harsh chemicals to the baby and even if I'm not pregnant I would continue to use organic products because it's gentler on the skin and why would one want to use harsh chemicals on your skin that are not only dangerous to your health but also rough on your skin?

All of Naturaglace products can be removed by just soap and water which is absolutely safe for sensitive skin or during pregnancy. They are also made in Japan and I purchased them in Okinawa, Japan.  However, they are also available in Hong Kong from BEYORG.

It's been awhile since I'd last updated my blog and yes, that's because I'm pregnant!! :)

Prior to my pregnancy I'd slowly switched my skin care products and cosmetics to organic products, because I believe that the lesser chemicals we put on our skin is better! And it is a good way to start to go natural.  

I'll soon be sharing the products that I've been using, it is suitable for everyone and not just for mom-to-be.......so stayed tuned!

一支眼線筆，畫出Halloween妝

Halloween又快到喇, 今個月如果有party去的話，不防化吓啲玩味妝啦.

其實一支眼線筆可以畫出好多唔同造型!

今次我用的是Kate 眼線筆. 畫幼同粗線都好易handle.

一開始可以在眼角位置畫上蜘蛛網, 然後慢慢加上蜘蛛仔.

It's this time of the year again - Halloween - where people dress up for Halloween parties, how about trying something different with a Halloween makeup?

All you need to draw something cool is one liquid eyeliner. This time I used Kate Liquid eyeliner, it's very thin and dark which is really easy to handle as well.

Start at the corner of the eye with a spider web and then slowly add in as many spiders as you desire.

蜘蛛仔點樣畫? 非常簡單!  

How to draw spiders? It's super easy.

1. 畫一個細圓圈（這是個頭） Start with a little circle - as the head

2. 然後畫一個大少少的做身體 Draw a slightly larger circle beneath it as the body

3. 頭上畫兩隻幼幼的腳（向上的）, 身上隨意畫上唔同方向的幼線做腳 add on thin legs on each side of the body as the spider legs - make sure they are long and thin.

4. 完成! And you're done!

如果想多少少變化，另一邊面可以用同一支眼線筆畫上不同大細的黑鳥, 令整個妝容很有神秘感!

If you are looking for variations, try this on the other side of the face - by drawing different size of black birds to increase the mysterious look!

特別＊聖誕妝＊分享:: Snowflakes Face Painting Makeup

如果今年可以過一個落雪嘅聖誕真係會好難忘!

今次個底色我用咗紛紅色胭脂,掃混個額頭, 再加少少紫色眼影, 增加dreamy感覺。

由中間開始畫上snowflakes.  因為snowflakes比較細緻,所以要用支好幼嘅掃.

Snowflakes 點樣畫? 好簡單, 先畫一個"米"字, 然後喺尾尾畫上個細 v.

之後隨意畫多一兩個 snowflakes or swirls.

記住要畫多D點點，感覺會 snowy D!

This time I used a pink blush as the base colour and then I added a little bit of purple to make it more of a dreamy look.

Starting off with a big snowflake in the centre - remember to use a thin brush because the snowflakes are very detailed so you need to make sure your brush is thin enough to draw the lines.  How to draw the snowflakes? Super easy, start by drawing a "cross" or a star and then at the end of it add a small "v".

Then just randomly draw 1-2 more snowflakes above the brows and add some swirls.

You can also add more round dots around the forehead & the flakes which will create a more snowy effect.

::白色聖誕靚靚妝:: White Christmas Inspired Makeup::

Are you looking forward to Christmas as much as I am?  I’ve been thinking a lot about white Christmas this year and here I came up with this inspired look.

先用白色由眼角位置開始. Curls 可以間單畫, 然後好似倒轉咗嘅S畫上大大粒圓點.去到另一邊眼角再畫上curls, 我覺得唔需要同另一邊一樣!

我會再點多少少白色, 喺大圓點周圍掃上細點. 大同細點加埋個effect 會多點立體感同有一種snowy 感覺☺️
想再bling bling D就可以加D閃粉! 今次喱個party look真係好間單, 只要用一隻色已經夠哂sharp, 好適合Christmas 呀!

First of all, start from the corner of your eye with some curls.  Then start to draw big round dots as if you were outlining a horizontal “S” until you reach the other side of your eye.  I think the curls doesn't necessarily have to be identical to give it a more natural look.

After that I’d start adding some smaller dots surrounding the bigger dots, for a more snowy effect.  And this is what we want for a white Christmas right?  You can also add some glitter in to emphasize the effect.

How I Touch up my makeup

將近年尾,特別多gatherings! 返咗成日工, 個妝都需要touch up吓㗎!

 

It's the time of the year where we are all busy with catching up with friends and lots of gatherings.  Well, after a long day at work, you definitely need to touch up your makeup before seeing your friends right.

Below are the 3 products that I'd use to touch up my makeup:

1. Lemongrass House:: Rose Absolute face mist

2. Shiseido:: Sheer Eye Zone Concealer

3. bareMinerals:: Mineral Veil (loose powder)

 

 

 

 

 

先用 rose water refresh吓.  因為玫瑰水保濕成份高，又適合敏感皮膚，所以我都覺得幾好!

然後到主角喇!! Shiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector ::  

不是新東西,但係之前買咗一直都唔記得用! 最近日日都用佢補妝, 真係越來越鍾意!! 我鍾意佢保濕度高, 耐咗唔會出乾紋又夠持久, 一D都唔厚妝 :) 不過就要花少少時間推開去. (我用的是104號色) 之後再上少少粹粉咁就可以靚哂去見朋友喇!

 

Spending at least 8 hours in the office with air conditioning, no doubt your skin would dry up. I would first spray rose water to refresh my skin, then use :: Shiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector for the main touch up.  Mostly to cover the dark circle areas or use it as a highlighter.  I like this product a lot because its moisture enough and is long lasting. The texture is not thick at all and it doesn't crease the lines below my eyes, but you will need to spend a few more minutes to blend it out evenly.  Lastly, lightly use the bareMinerals loose powder over the face and you're all good to go :)

＊我的秋冬眼線妝＊ My Aututm/Winter Eye Line Style*

哩個係CLIO:: Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner Mini :: The Color of 2014. 雖然2014年就快完，我只係一直買咗都冇機會用  但係而家終於到秋/冬天喇!  我覺得紫色同秋冬季好襯，所以最近先成日用佢。

CLIO:: Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner Mini :: The Color of 2014.  Although we are only a month away into the new year, I actually purchased this quite a while ago but never got the chance to use it until recent, because it's finally the autumn / winter season!! I always think that purple is a winter colour, so lately it has become my favourite style.  

 

Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner哩五隻紫色真係好靚呀,同埋可以有好多玩法。

最淺色:: Shine Lavender No. 12 可以當作highlight畫喺眼頭.

第二淺 :: Frozen Lavender No. 13都比較淺,如果單做眼線會令到隻眼好細, 一定要同其他色blend.

最深色:: Blackish Orchid No. 16 可以當平時黑色咁用,畫喺上眼線位置.

 

This pack of mini Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner are gorgeous! Because it has 5 different tones of purple, you can actually do a lot with it and have different look. And I love the packing of it, so convenient to carry around.

Shine Lavender No. 12 :: The lightest shade, can be used a highlight

Frozen Lavender No. 13 :: The slightly lighter shade, I think that this purple is kind of pale, and if you used it alone as an eye liner it will actually make your eyes look smaller, so it goes better when blending it with a darker shade or other colours

Blackish Orchid No. 16:: The darkest purple of all, I like to use it as a substitute of black.

 

2014 Orchid No. 14 & Bloody Purple No. 15 係我嘅最愛!  我會先用紫色畫上上眼線，然後喺貼近睫毛上用black liquid eyeliner 幼幼咁畫多一條眼線,咁樣望落去會令到隻眼精靈 D, 同埋唔會咁悶! 日日唔係黑色或啡色眼線真係幾悶㗎！

 

2014 Orchid No. 14 & Bloody Purple No. 15 are my favourites of the 5!! I would use the purple liner to draw on my top liner, then use a black liquid eye liner to draw a very thin and fine line above it.  This would give your eyes are more define look.  I like this drawing because I get tired of looking at myself always in either black or brown eye line!

  

有D人可能怕紫色好誇張，其實唔會㗎。就好似 Bloody purple No. 15 比較subtle, 大家可以試吓 

 

Some people may think that purple might be a bit overwhelming, but actually it's not! Look at Bloody purple No. 15, it is rather subtle and is worth a try and I'm sure you will like it
